Scottish Borders Pipe Band

Scottish Borders Pipe Band was formed in 2010 to provide a competition based band for Borderers to play in, while still being able to perform with their local bands.

The band first competed in Grade 4A in 2011 and in their first year became World Champions. Since then the band has won many other major prizes and now compete in Grade 3

The band practices mainly in the village of Stow near Galashiels. Alongside Stow Pipe Band, the band provides weekly tuition for all. The tuition programme has been assisted with funding from the nearby wind farm operated by EDF

Scottish Borders Pipe Band and Stow Pipe Band perform at local festivals throughout the year and also at international festivals in Europe. Most recently the band have played at events in Spain, Italy and France
